Job summary

Parklife Metro is seeking an MEP Senior Project Engineer to join our team based at St Marys. You will manage the installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for St Marys station on the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project.

Lead and coordinate MEP works with construction teams, review designs and documentation, resolve technical issues, ensure integration with civil and rail disciplines, and monitor progress, risks and subcontractor performance to deliver on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Experience delivering MEP works on major construction/infrastructure projects is essential.
  • Ability to manage fast-paced environments and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate delivery of MEP works within St Marys Station.
  • Provide technical engineering support to construction teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings, specs and construction methodologies.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies and construction constraints.

This visionary project driven by a joint venture between Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild includes the construction of six new stations, 12 state-of-the-art metro trains, advanced rail systems, and a modern stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

The Opportunity:

Employed by Webuild, Parklife Metro is seeking an MEP Senior Project Engineer to join our team based at St Marys.

As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for St Marys station.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of MEP works within the St Marys Station
  • Provide technical engineering support and guidance to construction teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Review and coordinate MEP designs, drawings, specifications, technical documentation and construction methodologies
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, design discrepancies and construction constraints in a timely manner
  • Ensure MEP works are coordinated with civil, structural, architectural, rail systems and other project disciplines
  • Support the development and implementation of construction methodologies, staging plans and work packages
  • Monitor progress of MEP works against program, identifying risks, delays and opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, progress and compliance with project requirements
Criteria
  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with complex services installations, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire and communications systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer delivering MEP works on major construction, infrastructure, rail, building or similarly complex projects
