Job summary

Austin Health invites applications for the Mental Health Social Work Clinical Educator to lead and coordinate student placements and the graduate program across Victoria. The role focuses on developing education opportunities for the Mental Health Social Work workforce and enhancing evidence-based practice.

The successful candidate will foster a positive learning culture, engage with stakeholders, and support graduates and clinicians to grow professionally within a supportive health service.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree or eligibility for AASW membership.
• 7 years post-qualification experience in public mental health.
• Knowledge of adult, child and adolescent mental health systems.
• Experience designing and delivering learning and development programs.
• Understanding of Royal Commission recommendations and implementation.
• Familiarity with public mental health policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Social Work student placements and the Graduate Program.
• Create education, learning and development opportunities for the workforce.
• Ensure practice is evidence-based and consumer/carer-focused.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to identify learning needs.
