NSW Health in Hornsby is seeking a Health Education Officer (Non-Graduate/Graduate) to work in the Mental Health Intensive Care Unit. The role focuses on peer support, education for clinical staff, and contributing to policy and research to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have personal experience using Mental Health and/or Drug & Alcohol services.
• Willingness to share aspects of your personal treatment and recovery in groups or individually.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse people, clinicians, managers and community members.

Responsabilités

• Support people using MHDA services and connect them to their preferred supports.
• Educate clinical staff and provide input into systemic issues through policy development and projects.
• Contribute to research activities and service improvements.
