Job summary

Wellways and Clarity Health Care are seeking Mental Health Clinicians (psychologists, RNs with MH background, OTs and social workers) to provide counselling, intake assessments and tailored plans in a multi-disciplinary team in Queensland. A Medicare provider number is not required.

You will advocate for participants, coordinate with peers and stakeholders, monitor wellbeing and participate in ongoing professional development and clinical meetings to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration in a relevant discipline (psychologist, mental health nurse, occupational therapist) or AASW registration (mental health).
• Experience in comprehensive mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions.
• Experience in trauma-informed counselling and multiple clinical modalities.
• Ability to provide mental health triage and participant de-escalation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including computer literacy.
• Willingness to obtain WWCC and police check.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants with personalised counselling, therapy and brief interventions.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop tailored plans with participants and families.
• Advocate for participants and coordinate with clinicians, peers and stakeholders.
• Monitor participants' mental health and collaborate with health professionals as needed.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, training and professional development.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team with peers and other mental health clinicians.
