Job summary

North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) is seeking a Clerical Officer to join the Adult Inpatient Mental Health team at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on a fixed-term 0.5 FTE contract for six months, with possible extension or permanency.

The role provides broad administrative and reception support, handles patient information systems and medical records, and coordinates processes across multiple service areas on a 7-day roster.

Qualifications

• Must have documentary evidence of entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
• Willing to work as part of a 7 day per week roster, including day shifts, evenings and weekend shifts.
• Flexibility to work across all service areas at SCGH MHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad range of administrative and reception services to support the SCGH Mental Health Service.
• Manage patient information systems and maintain medical records.
• Coordinate administrative processes and support clinical and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care.
• Provide reception services to patients and visitors.
• Support clinicians and staff to deliver safe and effective patient care across service areas.
