Job summary

Cafs is seeking a passionate Men's Behaviour Change Practitioner to join our Family Safety team in Ballarat, VIC. This part-time, fixed-term role supports men who use violence, focusing on accountability and safer relationships while safeguarding affected family members.

You will conduct intake and risk assessments, provide case management, and co-facilitate group sessions within our established MBCP program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with men who use violence.
  • Experience using the MARAM Framework and associated tools.
  • Experience in case management and group facilitation.
  • Strong understanding of family violence dynamics and risk.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Cafs is seeking a passionate and skilled Men's Behaviour Change Practitioner to join our Family Safety team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with men who use violence, supporting them to take responsibility for their behaviour and create positive change while prioritising the safety and wellbeing of affected family members.

Working within our established Men's Behaviour Change Program, you will provide individual case management, undertake risk assessments and co-facilitate group programs that promote accountability, healthier relationships and safer communities.

About the Program

Cafs has delivered Men's Behaviour Change Programs (MBCPs) for more than 30 years as part of our commitment to eliminating family violence.

The program works with both voluntary and court-mandated participants and aims to support men to recognise and change behaviours that cause harm while increasing safety for women, children and family members.

About the Role

As the Men's Behaviour Change Practitioner, you will:

  • Conduct intake, assessment and eligibility screening.
