Job summary

BravoFit, the Australia franchisee of Planet Fitness, is hiring a friendly front desk team member in Ballarat to welcome members, answer questions, process memberships and keep the club running smoothly.

You will handle phone inquiries, assist with tours, operate the POS system, maintain the reception area, and uphold the Judgement Free Zone culture that makes Planet Fitness unique.

Experience in customer service and First Aid/ CPR is preferred; WWC and NPC checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is advantageous.
• Certificate III in Fitness is advantageous.
• First Aid and CPR certified (provide certification within 3 weeks).
• WWC (Working With Children) certificate/number required.
• NPC (National Police Check) within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests and manage departures.
• Monitor club access for members and guests.
• Answer questions and handle member complaints.
• Explain the Judgement Free Zone to all members and non-members.
• Sell memberships and process memberships agreements.
• Operate the POS system and collect balances on accounts.
• Schedule PE @ PF hourly sessions.
• Maintain the front desk and assist with club housekeeping.
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning and restocking tasks.
• Support management with daily procedures.

Remit

• Greeting and saying goodbye to all members and guests.
• Monitoring club access to members and non-members.
• Answering any questions and handling member complaints.
• Having an excellent understanding of the Judgement Free Zone and explaining the JFZ to all members and non-members.
• Answering info calls over the phone and taking messages.
• Giving club tours.
• Selling memberships, completing membership agreements, and entering new members into the database.
• Operating the Point-of-Sale system and collecting any balances of past due accounts.
• Making appointments for PE @ PF hourly sessions.
• Organizing and maintaining the customer service front desk.
• Completing member welcome calls
• Completing daily cleaning zones as assigned by management team
• Completing club walk arounds
• Assisting with club housekeeping and restocking any paper products in locker room.
• Perform beginning of the day and end of the day procedures.
• Making yourself available to newer team members for questions and guidance.
• Completing monthly Black Card Spa maintenance as assigned by management team.

Experience/Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is advantageous
• Certifications: Certificate 3 in Fitness is advantageous.
• Must be currently First Aid and CPR certified and provide club with a copy of the First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain within first three weeks.
• Must have your WWC (working with children) certificate/ number NSW & VIC, Blue Card QLD from employment commencement date or proof that the process has started.
• Must have completed a National Police Check certificate. NOTE- The NPC Certificate must be within 12 months of application date.
