Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking a Member Specialist - Sales in Sydney to grow and retain Health Insurance memberships. You will handle inbound and outbound conversations, identify needs, and tailor cover solutions to drive sales and loyalty.

Build strong relationships with new and existing members while balancing retention goals with exceptional service and Australian Unity values. In this consultative role you’ll manage member interactions, address concerns, and contribute to lifetime value through

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience in health insurance or financial services.
• Strong customer service skills with focus on member experience.
• Experience in both inbound and outbound sales and customer conversations.
• Demonstrated success in retention, save activity, or loyalty initiatives.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to uncover customer needs and tailor solutions.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members through inbound and outbound channels to hit sales, retention and growth targets.
• Build meaningful relationships by understanding health insurance needs and goals.
• Identify opportunities to acquire new members and retain existing ones with tailored cover solutions.
• Address member concerns, overcome objections and mitigate cancellations.
• Manage member interactions within approved frameworks and tools to maximise conversion and lifetime value.
• Deliver a positive experience in every interaction with empathy and solutions.
