Job summary

Community First Bank is seeking a Collections Officer to join the Finance team's Collections function in Sydney. You will manage high-volume aged delinquent accounts, applying compliant collection strategies and negotiating payment options to protect member relationships.

You will generate arrears reports, action accounts weekly, and coordinate with external partners for repossession or legal action when needed. A background in financial services and knowledge of APRA CPS 230 is preferred.

Qualifications

• ASIC Tier II or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Previous experience in collections or accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Daily generation of arrears reports via core banking system.
• Action delinquent accounts weekly as directed by manager.
• Negotiate with members for mutually beneficial outcomes in relation to financial position.
• Refer delinquent accounts for repossession or legal action as required.
• Operate within APRA CPS 230 and internal policies.
