Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking an experienced General Labourer or Trade Assistant for ongoing casual assignments across a range of construction, landscaping and industrial sites in Victoria. Immediate start with regular weekly pay and potential pathways to permanent employment.

Role involves site prep, material handling and assisting qualified tradespeople, with typical tasks across commercial and residential projects. Must have White Card and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card (or equivalent).
• Current Driver Licence and reliable transport preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople on site across landscaping, construction and related duties.
• Site preparation, material handling and clean-up.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Site clean-ups and final cleans

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We’re Looking For

To join our team you must have:

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:
