Job summary

Granite Consulting is seeking a Draftsperson in Melbourne on a contract basis to prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings, models and manufacturing documents for doors, frames and wall systems. You will convert customer and engineering requirements into production-ready drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and approved systems.

You will interpret specifications, produce BOMs and cutting lists, and ensure drawings are complete, compliant and ready for production.

Qualifications

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings, models and manufacturing documentation.
• Interpret specifications, drawings and technical information to identify drafting requirements.
• Prepare and validate bills of materials and cutting lists.
• Ensure drawings are manufacturable and aligned to standards.
• Provide drafting support for CNC and manufacturing programming.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and manufacturing documentation for doors, frames and wall systems across the portfolio.
• Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD and approved drafting systems to convert requirements into production-ready outputs.
• Interpret specifications and drawings to identify drafting needs and information gaps before release to manufacture.
• Prepare and validate bills of materials and cutting lists based on approved drawings.
• Apply drafting judgement to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
• Prepare drawing outputs to support CNC and other programming requirements.
• Raise technical queries with stakeholders and support resolution before work proceeds.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve drawing-related issues and reduce defects.
• Maintain drafting records, revisions and document control.
• Provide drafting support across multiple business units.
