Job summary

Cook Group offers a 13-week Summer Internship in Engineering at Eight-Mile Plains, Brisbane. The program runs 23 November 2026 to 19 February 2027, requiring 38 hours per week with mentoring on real-world projects across continuous improvement, product development and process engineering teams.

Open to engineering undergraduates in their third year who are curious about medical devices, with strong English communication and solid MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must be an Engineering undergraduate student completing at least third year studies with an interest in medical devices.
• Available for 13 weeks between 23 November 2026 to 19 February 2027 (subject to change if university break commences earlier than 23 November).
• Able to commit to 38 hours per week.
• Able to attend work at our Eight-Mile Plains facility.
• Must have clear written and verbal English comprehension and communication skills.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must have intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to take direction and follow instructions.
• Take pride in your work with a focus on quality.
• Have a responsible and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a mentor, you will be working with highly experienced engineers within collaborative, high-performing teams on real-world projects.
• During your paid internship, you will gain exposure across continuous improvement, product development and process engineering teams, utilizing your existing technical abilities while learning new skills within a supported environment.
