Job summary

Law Partners, Australia’s largest specialist personal injury law firm, seeks a Personal Injury Solicitor with 2-4 years post-admission experience and exposure to medical negligence claims. Responsibilities

• Run your own medical negligence files and progress claims strategically.
• Develop expertise in medical negligence and related matters.

• Brief and liaise with counsel, experts and other stakeholders.

The Role

Based in our Sydney CBD office, you'll manage a portfolio of medical negligence matters.

Working alongside experienced practitioners, you'll have the autonomy to run your own files while continuing to develop your technical expertise and client management skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Running your own files and progressing claims strategically and efficiently.
• Working on medical negligence matters and developing your experience in this area.
• Providing clear, practical advice and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Preparing legal correspondence, pleadings, submissions and other court documents.
• Briefing and liaising with counsel, experts and other relevant stakeholders.
• Negotiating settlements and working towards the best possible client outcomes.
• Managing deadlines, file progression and professional fee budgets.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional client care.

About You:

You're a technically capable and client-focused solicitor who enjoys running matters, building relationships and achieving meaningful results for clients.

You'll bring:

• 2-4 years post-admission experience in personal injury law
• Some experience with medical negligence claims, with an interest in developing further expertise.
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A genuine commitment to client care, empathy and achieving the best outcomes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach to managing your practice.
