Job summary

Healius requires a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist in Traralgon. You will manage specimen receipt, operate multiple analysers, and perform rapid GeneXpert PCR while upholding QC/QAP standards. Collaboration with hospital staff and external customers is essential.

Essential qualifications include an AIMS-accredited degree with Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion Science, plus strong attention to detail and a pro-quality mindset.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an AIMS-accredited equivalent.
Demonstrated experience and skills in the discipline, with strong QC/QAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

Specimen receipt and processing.
Rapid PCR on the GeneXpert.
Perform seminal analysis.
Perform STAT Microscopy.
QC monitoring and participation in surveys.
Liaison between departments and external customers.
