Australian Clinical Labs in Geelong invites a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team across Biochemistry, Haematology and Transfusion Medicine. The role covers day-to-day lab operation, testing across departments, maintenance, and quality/safety compliance.

The six-month fixed-term contract involves a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnights, weekends and public holidays, with strong teamwork and patient-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• A degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Laboratory Medicine or an AIMS-accredited equivalent qualification.
• Relevant practical experience in Biochemistry, Haematology and/or Transfusion Medicine; multidisciplinary laboratory experience will be highly regarded.
• High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.
• The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services.
• Reliable transport and the flexibility to participate fully in the rotating roster.

Responsibilities

Build your experience across three essential diagnostic disciplines in this full-time, six-month fixed-term opportunity with Australian Clinical Labs in Geelong. We are seeking a motivated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a supportive, multidisciplinary team working across Biochemistry, Haematology and Transfusion Medicine.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical capability while contributing directly to timely, high-quality patient care. You will participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, perform testing across the three departments, maintain instrumentation and equipment, and support accreditation, quality assurance and safety requirements. You will work collaboratively with an experienced team while also using your initiative and professional judgement when working independently.

What you will bring

A degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Laboratory Medicine or an AIMS-accredited equivalent qualification.
