Job summary

Austpath in Northmead, NSW, is seeking Medical Laboratory Assistants for both full-time and part-time roles. Training will be provided across multiple areas of the practice. You will assist with FNAB clinics, reception tasks, data entry, specimen processing and communication with medical professionals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist FNAB clinics including patient preparation, coordination and procedural support.
• Reception duties and appointment scheduling.
• Accurate entry of patient, clinician and specimen information into the laboratory information system
• Specimen reception, identification, accessioning and processing
• Assisting with laboratory workflow, including preparation and support for specimens
• Preparation of documentation and assistance with pathology reporting workflows
• Communication with medical practitioners, hospitals, clinics, and other pathology providers
• General laboratory and administrative duties as required
