Job summary

Shimadzu Medical System (Oceania) Pty Ltd in Melbourne invites an experienced Application Specialist to join our team. You will bridge advanced imaging equipment with healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal performance and clinical outcomes for our customers.

You will deliver on-site installations, training, and ongoing support while maintaining thorough documentation. A radiographer qualification and AHPRA registration are required, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with medical imaging systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of medical device operations and clinical applications.
• Excellent communication with clinicians and technical staff.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Current registration with AHPRA and radiographer qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical support and training to healthcare facilities on Shimadzu medical equipment and software applications.
• Conduct on-site equipment installations, commissioning, and validation to ensure systems meet clinical and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to minimise downtime and maximise system performance.
• Develop and deliver customised training programmes for clinicians, radiographers, and technical staff at customer sites.
• Collaborate with sales and clinical teams to understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions and configurations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and customer interactions for ongoing service delivery.
• Stay current with product updates and industry developments to provide expert guidance on system capabilities and best practices.
• Support development of application protocols and clinical workflows to optimise equipment utilisation.
