Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Certification in CPR/BLS required or pursued within 3 years
• No experience required or at least 1 year healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Answering calls, identify health concerns and direct calls per guidelines
• Interview patients, measure vital signs and update meds/allergies in EMR
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies and assist with examinations
• Assist providers with procedures and demonstrate clinical skills
• Schedule appointments and refer as required
• Inventory and order medical supplies, label items properly
• Use Cerner/GroupWise or similar systems for documentation and orders
• Greet patients and escort to exam room
• Sterilize and prepare instruments
• Perform other duties as assigned
