Job summary

Minderoo Foundation is seeking a proactive and strategic Advisor, Media to join our Communications and Campaigns team on a 12-month parental leave contract. You will contribute to high-impact media engagement that strengthens our reputation and amplifies the work of Minderoo and partners, while developing and delivering integrated media strategies.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Media, you will support the daily media function, draft media releases and briefing materials, advise senior staff

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in media, journalism or strategic communications.
Strong understanding of the media landscape and managing media issues/risks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills under pressure.
Strong relationship-building with media and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support daily media function: monitoring, enquiries, drafting releases and briefing materials.
Provide strategic media and communications advice to senior staff.
Contribute to development and execution of integrated media strategies and campaigns.
Manage and grow relationships with key media stakeholders.
Train and coordinate organisational spokespeople for consistent messaging.
