Job summary

Beagle Technology, Inc. is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of autonomous harvesting systems.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines in workshop and field environments. The role involves assisting with assembly, testing, and commissioning of robotic harvesting equipment, diagnosing issues, and supporting field trials with growers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 0–3 years of engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring, sensors and actuators, PLCs or embedded control systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, testing, and commissioning of robotic harvesting equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Support field trials and customer demonstrations at grower locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system calibration.
• Work closely with engineering teams in Australia and the United States.
• Document engineering changes, testing procedures, and service reports.
• Assist with prototype development and product improvements.
• Provide technical support during customer installations when required.
