Job summary

Chrysos Corporation seeks a Junior Mechatronics Engineer to support design, validation, commissioning, and production release of PhotonAssay Max systems. You will contribute across mechanical, electrical, control and automation tasks, including automated sample handling and safety systems.

This role supports prototype validation and new product development for a growing global fleet. Ideal candidates have a tertiary engineering degree and PLC programming experience, strong communication skills,

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in mechatronic, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in programming and debugging PLC systems within an engineering role.
• Experience working within an engineering team in the design and/or technical integration of mechanical or electrical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical documentation and reports.
• Able and willing to travel interstate and internationally (significant travel within Australia, North America and China).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to testing and validation of PLC control systems and HMIs for PhotonAssay Max.
• Design and integrate sub-systems and prototypes into PhotonAssay Max units and supporting products.
• Prepare and review data, analysis, and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programming issues during prototype testing.
• Provide input to improve existing designs or develop new products.
• Assist assembly and commissioning of units in factory and on site.
