Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Warwick QLD is seeking qualified Mechanical Tradespeople to join RoadTek’s South West team. Based in Toowoomba, Warwick or Roma, you’ll maintain a diverse fleet, diagnose faults, and perform fabrication and welding as needed to support regional road infrastructure projects.

You will work in workshop and field environments, contribute to safety and quality standards, and enjoy permanent full-time employment with long-term career security in regional

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, plant or related equipment.
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles, mobile plant and associated equipment.
• Diagnose faults and undertake breakdown repairs in workshop or field settings.
• Complete maintenance records, inspections and work orders.
• Undertake fabrication and welding activities where required.
• Contribute to safety culture and high-quality workmanship.
• Support RoadTek operations delivering projects across South West Queensland.

Looking for a hands-on trade role that offers variety, job security and the opportunity to support essential road infrastructure projects across regional Queensland? RoadTek is seeking qualified Mechanical Tradespeople to join our South West team. Based in Toowoomba, Warwick or Roma, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, trucks, trailers and plant equipment that support road infrastructure projects across the region, including key works in Quilpie and surrounding communities.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will:

To be successful, you will have:

• A recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, plant or related equipment.
• A current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.
