Job summary

Talison Lithium invites applications for the Infrastructure Mechanical Tradesperson (Fitter) at the Greenbushes Lithium Operation on a full-time, seven-on/seven-off day shift roster. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of fixed plant equipment within a multi-disciplinary team.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor, you will diagnose faults, follow drawings, and install mechanical systems while contributing to safety and reliability initiatives at the

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-year post trade experience.
• Proactive attitude towards preventive and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience in water treatment plant maintenance desirable.
• Ability to follow mechanical codes, manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and pumping systems.
• Experience in Job Safety Analysis and toolbox meetings.
• Familiarity with CCMS.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctioning pumps, loaders, conveyors, fire systems, laboratory crushing, milling and water treatment plant equipment.
• Participate in development and review of preventive maintenance checklists and safe work procedures.
• Complete scheduled maintenance activities and reports.
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance and complete follow-up reports.
• Install and repair mechanical systems, apparatus and components of industrial machinery.
• Follow mechanical drawings, blueprints and specifications; test malfunctioning machinery.

About the Role

Reporting to the Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will join an energetic and multi-disciplined team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fixed plant equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as pumps, loaders, conveyors, fire systems, Laboratory crushing, milling and Water Treatment Plant equipment;
• Participate in the development and review of preventive maintenance checklists and safe work procedures;
• Complete scheduled maintenance activities as requested, complete check sheets and reports as required;
• Respond to unscheduled maintenance activities as requested and complete follow up reports as required;
• Install and repair mechanical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment;
• Follow mechanical code, manuals, schematic drawings, blueprints, and other specifications; and
• Test malfunctioning machinery using test equipment and discuss malfunction with other maintenance workers.

About the Candidate:

• Minimum 3-year post trade experience;
• Proactive attitude towards Preventive and Reliability centered maintenance;
• Experience in Water Treatment Plant maintenance desirable;
• Ability to follow mechanical code, manuals, schematic drawings, blueprints and other specifications;
• Understanding of Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems;
• Understanding of Pumping Systems;
• Experience in Job Safety Analysis and Toolbox meetings;
• Basic understanding of mineralogy and process operation; and
• understanding of CCMS.
