Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Melbourne (Fishermans Bend). This is a hands‑on role focused on the detailed design, spatial integration, and technical realization of mechanical and fluid systems.
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you won't just study theories—you will be in the thick of the design process. You will work on the intricate details of system installations, from optimizing mechanism movements like landing gear to managing the thermal and fluid environments that keep our platforms operational. If you are a detail‑oriented engineer who enjoys the challenge of spatial integration and seeing your designs move from a CAD model to a functioning physical assembly, this is your opportunity.
As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you are a key driver of technical detail. You will support the development of mechanical and fluid system requirements and translate those into high‑quality design documentation. You will focus on the “how” of engineering: performing detailed design modifications, ensuring components fit perfectly within complex spatial constraints, and supporting the integration of critical systems such as landing gear or ordnance mechanisms. You will work under general direction, collaborating closely with downstream production teams and suppliers to ensure design integrity.
At Boeing, we don't just build aircraft; we build careers. We offer a culture of innovation where your technical expertise is respected and your professional growth is prioritized.
