Job summary

Skout Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee a 60-person crew during an 8-week shutdown at Millmerran Power Station's Coal Ash Handling plant. You will supervise heavy plant maintenance with 10.5-hour days, five days a week, starting 14 September.

Accommodation and travel to Toowoomba are provided if needed; candidates must have mechanical trade qualifications and be able to pass a respirator fit test. OH&S and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Mechanical) required.
• Experience supervising heavy plant maintenance crews preferred.
• Working at heights is essential; confined spaces preferred.
• Respirator fit test will be conducted onsite; clean-shaven required.
• Commitment to OH&S practices and safe work methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current driver’s licence and white card.

About the role

Ventia have a contract supporting the maintenance of the Millmerran Power Station and Skout Solutions are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to assist for 8 weeks (10.5 hrs work per day) on a Shutdown in the Coal Ash Handling plant of the Millmerran Power Station starting 14th September. You will work 5 days per week across atleast 52.5 hours per week. You will work alongside 3 Mechanical Supervisors (2 permanent) and Contract Manager to Supervise 60 workers onsite during the shutdown performing various maintenance tasks during the outage.
