Job summary

Programmed GO seeks a Mechanical Supervisor for the Traralgon Mine to lead a team of technicians and contractors, overseeing maintenance of pumps, dredgers, stackers and conveyors to ensure safe, reliable operations.

This hands-on leadership role reports to the Mechanical Superintendent / Maintenance, driving preventive and corrective maintenance, safety compliance and collaboration with engineering, operations and procurement for continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Fitter is required.
• Proven experience in heavy industrial, mining, trade or power generation environments is essential.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of OHS regulations and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with maintenance systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• SAP experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians and contractors.
• Supervise mechanical maintenance of pumps, dredgers, stackers, conveyor systems, and auxiliary systems.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Support asset reliability and plant performance improvements.
• Contribute to long-term site transition and decommissioning planning.
