Job summary

Ignite is seeking an experienced Mechanical Service Technician (Fitter/Turner) to support maintenance, repair, inspection and technical solutions for industrial rotating equipment. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams and field specialists to ensure equipment reliability and operational excellence onsite.

This role requires a trade qualification in mechanical fitting or turning, proven hands-on experience in maintenance or reliability programs, and strong troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning, or similar.
• Proven experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or reliability-focused environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

This role involves working closely with customers, engineering teams, and technical specialists to ensure equipment reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Applicants must be Australian citizens or hold a valid Permanent Residency visa.
• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitting & Turning, or similar.
• Proven experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or reliability-focused environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Industry Background Experience in mining, manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, water utilities, or other heavy industrial sectors is highly regarded.
