Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering a major desalination project in Western Australia. A Project Engineer will coordinate Mechanical and Piping works, manage planning, procurement, QA, and progress against milestones, ensuring safety and quality throughout the Alkimos Desalination Plant construction.

The role requires engineering experience, method statement development, and proficiency with P6, Aphex, and GIS software to support design reviews and cost forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering and minimum 5 years' engineering experience.
• Experience in safety and environmental inspections.
• Experience in reviewing designs, quantity take-offs, and procurement.
• Proven ability to develop method statements and temporary works briefs.
• Proficient in project scheduling and risk assessment with planning tools like P6 and Aphex.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms (Propeller) and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections and promote safe work practices.
• Review designs for constructability, quantity take-offs, and supplier quotations.
• Create method statements, temporary works briefs, and reviews for efficiency.
• Analyse schedules, manage logistics, forecast costs, and track progress to milestones.
• Monitor QA processes, manage subcontractor documentation, and ensure inspection/testing adherence.
• Utilise GIS and industry software to plan, review works, and drive process improvements.
