Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager for a major Cambridge project. You will own the mechanical package from design through installation, commissioning and handover, coordinating with designers, subcontractors and consultants to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership of mechanical packages, knowledge of building services, and proven experience managing subcontractors on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical packages on major construction projects.
• Tier One main contractor or specialist MEP contractor background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and installation.
• Proven ability to manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the mechanical package from design to handover.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors and specialists and coordinate design development.
• Review drawings, specs and technical submissions for compliance and buildability.
• Coordinate works with other disciplines and packages to maintain programme.
• Monitor progress against programme and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries, RAMS reviews and quality documentation.
• Support procurement and package performance with commercial teams.
• Identify and manage technical, programme and interface risks.
• Provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
