Job summary

TRS Resourcing is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for ongoing, workshop-based roles across Melbourne. Roles involve mechanical fitting, assembly, equipment fit-out and hydraulics/pneumatics work within established workshop teams.

You will read engineered drawings, replace pumps and valves, and perform preventative maintenance in a safety-focused environment. These full-time positions offer long-term opportunities with weekly pay, with overtime available and Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified mechanical fitter or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with assembly, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience using workshop and power tools.

Melbourne | $55.00–$58.50/hr + Super + Overtime | Long-Term Opportunities

TRS Resourcing is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for several ongoing, workshop-based opportunities across Melbourne.

We are working with established businesses operating across specialised manufacturing, transport equipment and industrial engineering, with multiple positions available for mechanically skilled tradespeople.

These roles will suit experienced fitters who are confident with mechanical assembly, equipment fit-out, hydraulics, pneumatics, fault finding, modifications and repairs.

• $55.00–$58.50 per hour + Super + Overtime (subject to assignment and experience)

The Work

• Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation
• Equipment fit-out and component installation
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system installation
• Mechanical repairs and modifications

• Installation of pumps, valves, pipework and associated components
• Preventative and general workshop maintenance
• Working independently and as part of an experienced trades team
• Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or another relevant mechanical trade
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Experience with mechanical assembly, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• Ability to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings
• Experience using workshop and power tools
• Ability to work autonomously when required
• Reliable attitude and a strong focus on quality

Experience within industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment, transport equipment or specialised engineering environments will be highly regarded.
