Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services – Muswellbrook NSW is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a major Power Station shutdown commencing in early September 2026. This 3-month project offers excellent pay rates and consistent hours, with ongoing opportunities for high-performing candidates.

You’ll remove, repair and replace plant components and perform shutdown maintenance within the outage schedule, while upholding safety and quality standards. DIDO applies; FIFO/LAHA are not available.

Qualifications

  • Confined Space level 2 or higher ticket (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
  • A positive attitude with strong reliability and punctuality
  • Flexibility to support other trades when required
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

PROGRAMMED Energy and Resources is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a major Power Station Shutdown commencing in early September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn excellent rates, work consistent hours, and secure ongoing opportunities beyond the shutdown for high-performing candidates.

  • Excellent EA pay rates: $51.09-$61.60 per hour plus applicable allowances
  • Monday to Friday roster - 5 x 10-hour days

About the Role

You’ll be working on a major power station outage within the Dust Plant.

This is a Drive-In, Drive-Out (DIDO) position. Please note that FIFO and LAHA are not available.

Mechanical Fitters will be responsible for:
  • Removing, repairing, and replacing plant components
  • Carrying out shutdown maintenance activities
  • Working safely and efficiently within outage schedules
About You

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Confined Space level 2 or higher ticket (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
  • A positive attitude with strong reliability and punctuality
  • Flexibility to support other trades when required
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
