Job summary

Gladstone Regional Council is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the Water Program Delivery team on a maximum term basis with a projected end date of October 2027. The role involves manufacturing, installing, maintaining and operating mechanical equipment across the region’s water infrastructure.

You will work in a dynamic environment with PPE, a company vehicle and digital tools provided. On-call duties attract additional leave entitlements and require flexibility with hours.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter with relevant experience.
• Experience operating in wastewater/water treatment environments preferred.
• MR license held and valid; ability to operate in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, install, maintain and operate mechanical equipment in the Water Program Delivery team.
• Work across wastewater treatment plants and sewerage pump stations daily.
• Respond to on-call requirements and maintain safety standards.
