Job summary

Civmec is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support upcoming maintenance shutdowns in Gladstone, Queensland. You will service plant and machinery, install and align new components, and work with operational teams to keep assets running safely and reliably.

The role requires a trade certificate and site/shutdown experience, with 12‑hour rosters and accommodations provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate and hands-on experience with plant and machinery.
• Shutdown/site experience is essential.
• Ability to pass medical and drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance shutdowns and project works.
• Service mechanical equipment to required standards.
• Install and align new components across plant and machinery.
• Coordinate with on-site teams to complete tasks.
• Maintain tools and equipment in working order.
• Ensure work meets safety and quality standards.
