ForestOne in Benalla seeks a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. You will maintain high machine availability and reliability across our fabrication operations, ensuring safe operation of processes and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires a trade qualification with extensive mechanical experience, knowledge of WHSE practices, and strong communication skills to coordinate maintenance with operations.

Competenze

• Mechanical Fitter trade or equivalent qualification with extensive mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of WHSE legislation and safe work practices.
• Understanding of manufacturing equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing and National Character Check.

Key responsibilities

• Provide the maximum level of machine availability and reliability.
• Provide safe operating performance of machinery and processes.
• Complete Preventative/predictive maintenance as directed
• Providing the necessary information for reordering of parts.
• Undertake repairs and maintenance of site machinery and equipment.
• Operate the lathe.
• Welding and fabrication.

About you

• A Mechanical Fitter trade or other trade qualification with extensive mechanical experience.
• In-depth knowledge of WHSE legislation and safe work practices.
• Understanding of Manufacturing equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
