Job summary

R8D Industries PTY is seeking expressions of interest from a Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Queensland. You will undertake planned maintenance, shutdown and project works on fixed plant mining equipment, with a FIFO or DIDO roster option supported by our team.

We offer competitive rates matched to experience ($65p/hr–$75p/hr), 12% superannuation on all hours, and flights covered by R8D. Casual and full-time positions available; sub-contractors welcome to enquire.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter with Australian recognised certifications
• Valid Driver’s Licence – HR preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience post trade within the mining industry
• HRWL – LF, WP, DG, RI (Preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Construction White Card

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned maintenance, shutdown and project works on fixed plant mining equipment
• Demonstrate Leadership initiative as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure optimal performance of equipment
