Job summary

Teys Australia is a beef processing and food production leader based in Queensland, employing thousands across Australia. We are seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters to join the Facility Asset team to repair and maintain meat processing machinery daily, while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Your role will focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring reliable plant operations. Key tasks include routine maintenance, pump overhauls, fault-finding on packaging equipment, and welding

Qualifications

• Hydraulic experience (fault finding).
• Pneumatic experience (fault finding).
• Experience in processing plants under pressure conditions.
• Welding skills in TIG, MIG and ARC.
• Experienced in overhauling pumps.
• Fault finding package machines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on meat processing machinery and equipment.
• Overhaul and troubleshoot pumps and other components as required.
• Perform fault-finding on package machines.

About the Role

Teys Australia are seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters to join the Facility Asset team. The role will be responsible for providing repair and maintenance services on a daily basis, ensuring two way communication on environmental matters, maintaining downtime to a minimum, as well as following Work place, Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on meat processing machinery and equipment.
• Overhaul and troubleshoot pumps and other components as required.
• Perform fault-finding on package machines.
