Job summary

S.T Wallace Pty Ltd, a Warwick-based meat processing subsidiary, is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineering Technicians to join their team in Queensland. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems on meat processing equipment, and contribute to preventative maintenance programs.

Successful candidates will hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field, have at least three years of industry experience, and be comfortable reading electrical diagrams,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in meat processing or related industries.
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance on hydraulic pumps, pneumatic cylinders, and meat processing machinery.
• Help develop and implement the meat plant preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain, test and repair mechanical assemblies on plant equipment.
• Perform field and workshop assessments and repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant systems.
• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings and machines.
• Rebuilding and testing controls and hydraulic systems.
• Install equipment and test operations.
• Troubleshoot electrical motors, circuits and pneumatic rams; ammonia refrigeration maintenance.
