Job summary

Wire Industries in NSW is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician for a full-time permanent role. Based at our NSW site, you will contribute to assembling, installing and maintaining mechanical systems and plant equipment.

The ideal candidate has an AQF Associate Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience in manufacturing. Strong diagnostic skills, teamwork and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls.

Wire Industries has a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineering Technician at their business based in NSW. This is a full-time permanent position.

Qualifications and Experience To qualify for this position, you will have: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

At least three (3) years of relevant experience within the similar industry. Exposure and understanding of manufacturing environments. Extensive knowledge of assembling, installing, and repairing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls.

Organising and supervising inspection and maintenance of machines and plant. Proficiency in mechanical design and diagnostic testing software. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. Great organisational and time management skills. Work collaboratively within the team as well as autonomously.

Remuneration The successful applicant will have a salary within the range $90,000 to $95,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
