Job summary

Wenco Pty Ltd, a Western Australia-based engineering firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its team in O’Connor/Fremantle and Southern Suburbs. The role encompasses mechanical/structural calculations, CAD modelling, and production parameter optimization to meet Australian standards and project budgets.

You will review technical specs, oversee shop floor activities, and help deliver complex fabrication projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Experience in mechanical/structural calculations.
• Proficient with 2D/3D CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and structural calculations to ensure design integrity, load capacity, and fatigue limits of fabricated components.
• Produce and review engineering models, workshop drawings, and manufacturing layouts using standard 2D and 3D CAD/CAE software.
• Evaluate client technical specifications to assess manufacturing feasibility and optimize production parameters.
• Provide technical oversight to the workshop floor, resolving engineering queries and clarifying fabrication or welding requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and quality frameworks.
