Amentum in Alice Springs, NT, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis and modernization of facility assets and systems. You will perform technical studies, develop requirements, and provide calculations and recommendations to improve reliability and lifecycle costs.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with hands-on experience in HVAC/building management and a willingness to obtain security clearances.

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualifications desirable.

Mansioni

• Perform technical studies, analyses and consultations.
• Define requirements for facility infrastructure, equipment and systems modifications.
• Design and develop solutions for mechanical problems of moderate to extreme scope.
• Review proposed changes from concepts through detailed IFC designs.
• Perform engineering calculations for facility operation and design.
• Provide technical recommendations on system reliability and lifecycle management.
• Develop ROM costing estimates for modifications and upgrades.
• Evaluate systems for optimization and improvement.
• Promote health and safety practices at site.
• Carry out other duties as requested.
