Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Deputy Engineering Manager to lead a multi-skilled engineering team delivering services for fixed plant, equipment, systems, buildings and grounds at facilities in Alice Springs. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, asset management and related functions to ensure coverage and alignment with team objectives.

You will guide design reviews, system implementations, and provide technical leadership to achieve reliable, cost-effective facility operations in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering team.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to deliver high-quality results against SOWs.
• Coordinate design and development of solutions across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Review and advise on facility infrastructure changes from concept to IFC designs.
• Develop and implement systems for integration, configuration and engineering service delivery.
• Communicate recommendations on reliability, maintenance, lifecycle, and costing.
• Maintain liaison with Government Points of Contact to ensure requirements are understood.
• Deliver program goals, participate in business development, and address complex client needs.
• Promote safety and conduct risk assessments for supervised staff.
• Perform additional duties as required.
