Job summary

Lycopodium Limited in Perth is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our base metals project team. You will produce accurate design outputs and calculations aligned with project and study requirements, while liaising with clients, vendors and cross-functional peers.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of experience in mineral processing plants or similar capital projects; on-site experience is advantageous. The role emphasizes teamwork, detail, and timely delivery.

Due to our involvement in a number of new projects and studies, we are currently recruiting for experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our Perth based team to support a keynote base metals project.

Reporting to the Group Manager Engineering , the successful applicant will be responsible for producing proficient and accurate design outputs that are fit for purpose and in alignment with Project and Study requirements.

The tasks you'll perform

• Providing proficient and accurate design input for the production of mechanical drawings.
• Perform accurate engineering designs and calculations.
• Developing and monitoring the production of designs in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.
• Assist with tenders and provide technical recommendations for the purchase of mechanical equipment from vendors where necessary.

The expertise you'll bring

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with Clients, vendors, co-workers and other stakeholders.
• 3-5 years experience working on Mineral Processing Plants or similar capital projects. On-site experience will be considered favourably.
• High attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Proven time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
