Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in design, modifications, and engineering documentation.
• Experience producing engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of Safety in Design, risk assessment, and engineering standards.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.

Job description

Location: Guildford PDC, WA, AU

Reporting to the Technical Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will join our Engineering team on a permanent basis at our South Guildford Parts Distribution Centre. This role is responsible for developing certified, safe, and legally compliant engineering solutions that support WesTrac's customers and operations. The Mechanical Engineer will design and assess Dealer Provided Options (DPOs), machine modifications, workshop equipment, and tooling, ensuring all solutions meet relevant legislative, safety, and quality requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and Caterpillar systems, the role provides technical expertise and engineering support while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Roster – 5 Days, 8.5 Hours/Day

What You'll Do:
