Job summary

ACCIONA is partnering with SMEC to upgrade Sydney Water facilities as part of the Malabar System Alliance. This Mechanical Foreman role oversees on-site construction, coordinating mechanical crews, ensuring safety and quality, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and trades across a ten-year program in NSW, with FIFO options and long-term stability. Leadership, problem solving and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical, construction or related field.
• 10+ years experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on site.
• Strong safety knowledge.
• Clear communication and leadership.
• Ability to plan and organise daily work.

Project Overview:

ACCIONA has partnered with SMEC to form the Malabar System Alliance, working with Sydney Water on a ten-year wastewater upgrade program. The first stage upgrades the Liverpool and Glenfield Water Resource Recovery Facilities to boost capacity and support Sydney’s growth. Our mechanical and electrical teams deliver the plant upgrades on site. This is a long-term program with steady, secure work.

Position Overview:

This role oversees and manages all mechanical aspects of construction projects. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating mechanical work crews, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and on-site teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Your expertise in mechanical systems, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills are essential for the successful execution of mechanical construction projects.
