Job summary

ProFound People Pty Ltd in Adelaide is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on improving and optimising processes in a highly regulated environment, with involvement in capital projects and commissioning/validation activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing or similar.
• Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or similar.
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma/food/medical devices) is preferred.
• GMP exposure and validated process environments are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support development, improvement and optimisation of manufacturing processes.
• Manage capital projects including equipment upgrades and new production systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality and safety.
• Support commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
• Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse production data to drive process optimisation.
• Engage with suppliers and contractors on capital projects.

SALARY - $100,000 - $130,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

My client is a leading manufacturer operating within a highly regulated production environment. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Engineering or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or similar position
• Experience within a pharmaceutical, chemical, food, medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and regulated manufacturing environments
• Experience working on capital projects from concept through to implementation
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing or process optimisation
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and production systems
• Experience with process validation, commissioning and qualification activities
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams

The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

• Supporting the development, improvement and optimisation of manufacturing processes
• Managing and supporting capital projects including equipment upgrades, installations and new production systems
• Working other internal teams to implement process improvements
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality and safety
• Supporting commissioning, qualification and validation activities for new and existing equipment
