Job summary

J1 LED, an Australian manufacturer of LED signage, is seeking a hands-on Production Technician to support the Production Manager with mechanical and electrical assembly and product testing. You will read drawings, install components, route cables and complete documentation in a fast-paced workshop.

Ideal candidates have experience in mechanical/electrical assembly, strong problem-solving, a clean safety record, and the ability to work autonomously in a small team handling high-quality LED

Qualifications

• Experience as a hands-on Production Technician.
• Skills in mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Assemble aluminium/steel structures and install components.
• Install electrical components and route cables.
• Assemble wiring harnesses and connect low-voltage systems.
• Install LED modules, controllers and PCBs.
• Use hand and workshop tools safely.
• Complete assembly checklists and production paperwork.
