Job summary

Sabre Recruiting in Sydney is seeking a Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design reviews and coordinate with local and overseas teams for product development. You will support clients and field services, prepare AutoCAD drawings, and ensure designs meet project specifications.

The role requires interpretation of drawings and standards, with advantageous hydraulics and mining exposure. Strong collaboration with clients and suppliers is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Australian and International standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with drive train technology including gearboxes, motors and couplings.
• Hydraulics experience is an advantage.
• Mining industry experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review of mechanical and hydraulic equipment designs.
• Co-ordinate with local and overseas design teams for product development and project implementation.
• Interface with clients and sub suppliers to modify equipment per specifications.
• Prepare documentation and AutoCAD drawings.
• Provide technical assistance to Field Services and clients after project completion.
