Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Adelaide, Australia is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team.

You’ll design and deliver mechanical systems for a diverse portfolio of projects and work alongside senior engineers and specialists to expand your technical and project delivery capabilities. You will contribute to concept design through to construction, developing HVAC and related systems while ensuring compliance with NCC and Australian Standards.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in mechanical building services engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling and related building services systems.
• Experience in an Australian engineering consultancy or similar environment.
• Exposure to sectors like commercial, defence, healthcare, education, data centres or infrastructure is valued.
• Working knowledge of NCC and relevant Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept to completion.
• Develop designs for HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and related systems.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports and design documentation.
• Collaborate with electrical, fire, hydraulics, structural and other disciplines.
• Assist with project coordination to meet scope, budget and schedule.
• Undertake site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders.
• Apply NCC and Australian Standards to designs.
• Contribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
