Viterra is offering a 4-year apprenticeship in mechanical trades as part of a leading agribusiness initiative in South Australia. Join a busy maintenance team and gain hands-on experience, with paid formal training through an approved RTO leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

You will work on conveyors, gearboxes, engines, hydraulics, and related systems while advancing through your training and taking on increasing responsibilities within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum year 11 education and/or completion of an appropriate pre-vocational course.
• Motivated team player with a can do attitude and ability to work independently.
• Enjoys taking on varied tasks across the workday or work week.
• Able to undertake formal training at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Responsibilities

• Assisting maintenance mechanical fitters to complete preventive maintenance and repairs on stationary plant (conveyors, bucket elevators, Augers) and various items of Mobile plant (Mobile grain vacuums, Forklifts, diesel and electric grain conveyors).
• Assisting other Maintenance teams across the central region
• Assisting with Hydraulic fault finding and repairs
• Assist with Welding and fabrication tasks.
• Be involved with Planned site upgrades and project work.
• Maintaining onsite workshops and storeroom parts
• Conducting daily plant inspections
• Work closely with operational stakeholders on daily priorities.
• Attending TAFE classes

About the role

If youhave an interest in mechanical machinery, gearboxes, diesel andpetrol engines and hydraulics, Bunge has an exciting opportunityfor a motivated first year mechanical apprentice to join us inembarking on a 4-year apprenticeship in a leadingagribusiness.

You willjoin a busy and experienced maintenance team and will be supportedas you learn all aspects of the mechanical trade while gaining asound understanding of the agricultural industry. This is ahands-on role where you will have increasing responsibility as youprogress through your training.

As anapprentice, you will receive paid formal training delivered by anapproved Registered Training Organisation, which will lead to anationally recognised qualification. You will also have access togenuine career opportunities.
