Blue Mountains City Council in Katoomba NSW is seeking a Mechanic with proven experience in maintaining and repairing light and heavy vehicles and plant equipment. Qualifications

You will be required to provide trade skills that contribute to the provision of an efficient, quality controlled mechanical maintenance & repair service, which meets client and statutory requirements.

The candidate will hold an industry recognised Trade Qualification as a Motor Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic together with M.V.R.I.A. certification. You will also have relevant post-trade qualifications and proven post-trade experience and knowledge in the maintenance and operations of light and/or heavy vehicles, and plant equipment. You must hold a current N.S.W. C class driver’s license.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $79,483 gross per annum
+ adverse working conditions allowance of $1,189.62 per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
